Reduce

The Colorado Democratic Party is reducing the amount of paper it uses by encouraging delegates, alternates, vendors, and other participants to use the website to get information.

  • All information you need will be on-line, including:
The Visitors guide published by the Experience Colorado Springs Vistors Guide
The latest information from the Colorado Springs Independent's:
    • Annual Manual 2008, which will give you the lowdown on the Pikes Peak region (print copies are also available at World Arena and area hotels)
    • And as of 8 AM Thursday May 15, the Independent's Summer Guide hits the streets as well as our web site, www.csindy.com. It include late breaking information, maps, specials and stories geared towards visiting Democrats.

  • On Friday night May 16 at the Doubletree Hotel and Saturday May 17 at World Arena, we will have tables chock full of useful information. Delegates can pick and choose what printed matter they want. Free bags made from recycled material will be provided by the Colorado Springs Independent.

Reuse

Due to security reasons, convention attendees are not allowed to bring food or drink into the World Arena, nor will they be allowed to bring their own water bottles.

  • The World Arena has a number of drinking fountains - so please refill your cups and water bottles.

Recycle

We know that we can't prevent all waste at the Convention, although that's certainly our long-term goal. So we will be recycling all that we can at the World Arena. We will have bins for paper and plastics #1-7 near all of the trash receptacles. Plastic plates and utensils can go into the recycle bins - just be sure to remove as much of the food waste as possible. And we ask that you please discard any remaining liquids from your bottles and cups. Our Green Team volunteers will be stationed next to the bins to remind you "Don't Throw It Away - Recycle!"
